About Awards
The Korea Crypto Awards are South Korea's first cryptocurrency-focused awards ceremony, hosted by CoinNess, the nation's largest crypto media and community platform with over 700,000 users. This event highlights the cryptocurrencies that have captivated the Korean crypto community (K-Community) in the past year and those generating the most excitement for the upcoming year. The awards are determined based on more than 10 criteria, including popularity, interest, performance, and future potential, using data and survey results from the local community. Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Ripple are not considered for these awards.
South Korea is one of the world's biggest markets for retail crypto investors and stands out as the only country where people in their 20s and 30s show a greater interest in cryptocurrencies than in stocks. With Bitcoin reaching new all-time highs in 2024, the Korean crypto market has gained further momentum.
